Allis B vs C Rear Tread Width

What is the rear tread width of the B and the C as they came from the factory? I know they're about a foot difference, but does someone know to the inch?

The rear drive castings are 6" wider on the C, but that doesn't mean much as the rear tread width can be adjusted differently depending on which hubs and rims are on the tractors. I've seen B's that were wider than C's because the B had dished hubs with them reversed (dished out).

Thank you, Eldon. Is that 6" PER SIDE (each final drive), or OVERALL? also, do 24" loop rims fit on the Allis B's or C's? I appreciate the help.

Well I had always heard that it was 6", but I thought I'd go measure a couple to make sure and low and behold that is wrong. It is 7" per side - the difference in the rear axle housing anyway. Since there are different variations in how the hubs mount, the extra inch may be lost there somehow.

Looped rims will bolt to the hole pattern in the hubs, but you would probably have to remove the hubs to mount the loops in the inner position unless your hubs have 4 "cutouts" (hubs made for steel wheels had them).
