There were few differences between the very late 80Ts and the 82Ts. Some examples of some important "running" improvements to the 80T which continued on with the 82T: T-1101 & up: New (better)style connecting rods and bearing caps. T-2801 & up: change from 5/8" to 3/4" thick cut bar. T-3101 & up: Bearings, rather than bushings in the wheel hubs. T-3851 & up: Ball bearing front support pivots (BIG improvement), Larger square housing support bar and heavier housing "cage". Some of these improvements were made to the 80S as well and my 82S is significantly better than the early 80S and 80R I used for parts.
