If you remove the final drive on an Allis B, is there a gasket on this joint, or is it metal to metal? I'm assuming it's gasketed, but I don't have a clue where to buy the gaskets, 'cause I've never seen them. Is this a gasket that you have to make, or is there a good source?

Thanks for the help.

there is no gasket. you take off the 4 large nuts, and slide the case off. the axle is splined and it slides thru an oil seal into the bevel gear set. The seal keeps the transmission/ bevel gear oil inside. The final drive case has a seal inside it that keeps the gear lube from coming out the top shaft. the area between the seals is supposed to be dry, that is the bolted join.
