If it had a crack in it, it wasn't worth the gas it would take to go pick it up. So nothing was lost. What year was this from? I remember when I was looking for a head for my WD that all WD heads and a lot of WC heads would fit my engine. I checked a picture of the bad head that I had. It looks like 12 bolts to me. If it is a late model WC, there is one available on Ebay almost continuously.

Shoot, it was a pretty good picture that I used to count those head bolts. Must have screwed it up somehow. The comment was on my head which was latw WC and WD. Didn't know the vintage of yours. I've still got my WD head if someone wants it - no charge - come an get it.

Sorry I couldn't help.
