Thanks for the help again everyone. I was able to get the B up and running today and took it from the storage area to it"s new home in my garage. Ran great, AFTER beating on the carb for a while. The "tube" behind the carb. coming out of the block...if it"s a petcock I think I"m missing the actual petcock part...this is just a seemingly open tube? Our B seems to rock back and forth when it"s going down the road...doesn"t seem to hurt anything, just wanted to see if it was normal or not. It makes some noise from the trans., but it sounds like some noise is normal from these... Anyway, thanks for the information and advice, the B"s looking up a little now!

Is that back and forth a side to side? If it is, a tire with a knot, or a tire not quite centered on the rim, will cause that.

Surging down the raod...do you have a small spring that runs from a bolt on the exhaust manifold to a hole on the carb linkage about 3" from the carb?

That's the coolant drain for the block...the petcock part is usually right against the block and hard to see unless looking for it
