I used JB Weld on the bottom of the tank for my WD-45. I didn't use any fiberglass though my holes were about the size of a pencil lead (0.020 - 0.030). I think there was 7 or 8. I applied it at least 1" beyond every hole. I was skeptical when my NAPA dealer told me it would work. I did one application and it has done fine for two years. Not even a whiff of gasoline! Paint stuck to it well , too!

i use JB Weld to patch small engine tanks all the time...use screen wire over base coat...let dry over nite and apply another layer of JB...havent had one leak yet but you mite seal tank too just to be sure.

go to auto store and buy a fibreglass kit. it will contain resin and cloth. use this to patch the gas tank. tank sealer is available at most farm supply stores. drop a length of chain into the tank and shake it around to loosen the scale, then blow out real good, plug 3/8" hole and pour in sealer. i use a short nipple and a cap to plug the bottom hole. that way i can remove the cap and drain the tank and not get sealer in the threads.

Wedge,
JB Weld will work. I had a handful of pepper holes in the bottom of the tank on my B. I filled the holes with JB Weld and had my radiator man clean and coat the inside of the tank. That was almost 5 years ago. Still holdin' fuel. As for the Welting, we have it available in kit form for the B,C,CA model tractors. Drop us a line if interested...

JB Weld alone, has never worked for me. You do need to put a sealer in the tank, too. Try a motorcycle shop for the sealer. "Kreeme", is one brand name/
