Need some help on my draft control, it hasn't been working, so plowing has been difficult to say the least. Anyway, today I think I may have found the problem and may have partially fixed it, but need someones expert knowledge. The linkage from the drawbar to the drawbar control lever was adjusted too short, I have lengthened it, and it now appears that it is sensing when it needs to raise. My question at this point is, there appears to what looks like a sud with a groove cut into it that comes out of the back side of the drawbar control lever, like a spring is suppost to attach here. There is no other evidence as to were the other end of this missing spring goes to. Am I correct that there is suppose to be a spring installed here? if so, what is it's purpose, and where does the other end go, and is this a special spring, (for expample inch pounds required to stretch it)or can I make do with a universal type? One more thing, by lengthening the draw bar link rod, does this make it more or less sensitive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks very much in advance to all.

Yes there is a spring that attaches to the foreward end of the draft sencing rod at the pump. It goes up to a hole in the cover over the the hand clutch. If you see no hole there look over on the other side, cover will go on either way and both of mine had been installed backwards, Spring is availible from AGCO.
