I picked up a cessna tie rod valve and tie rod 2-way cylinder. They are exactly thre right length for the WD. I can"t find a schematic for the WD valve system on the Hyd. pump. I assume the single remote would be constant live and next to it is a hydraulic hose that is capped off? Are these two outlets on the clutch side of the hyd. valve always live, so I can pipe in the hydraulic systen for the power steering?Anybody have a diagram of a power steering system? thanks

Most power steerings of this era used a seperate hydrulic system. I have seen WD's with the stock system. They had a small tank on the right side of the hood infront of the fuel tank and thepump was belt driven from the water pump.

I don't see this working at all for powersteering. You could likely rig up a car pump to the fan belt somewhere, but I don't think you are going to have much success using the standard tractor pump. I don't think you'll be happy loosing your steering every time you push the clutch in. Sounds like an accident waiting to happen, and I don't think it will be a long wait.

As I understand your question, "Are these two outlets on the clutch side of the hyd. valve always live, so I can pipe in the hydraulic systen for the power steering?" As I understand your question the answer is no. The pump is not running at all when the engine (foot) cluth is pushed in. The only power steering units I have seen for WD and WD45 have their own Pump.

If the ground clutch lever was used or the unit was put in neutral with the clutch out, wouldn't you then have pressure from the pump.Wouldn't the rear remote be always on-live?
