I have a "44 Model C. It came with a 6 volt Autolite and a remote push button. Mounted to the steering column. I got one from a CA that has the switch on top(pull type) and it hits the fuel tank. Am looking for a correct Delco for my C with switch on the bottom and rod rod going back below the battery box on right side. Would anyone out there want to trade??

I THINK YOU CAN REMOVE THE 2 SCREWS THAT HOLD THE STARTER TO THE NOSE AND TURN 1/2 TURN TO GET THE SWITCH ON THE BOTTOM. I THINK THIS SHOULD WORK.

I currently have it set up that way. But it still is a pull vs push switch. The CA starter doesn't seem to go in bell housing quite far enough. Need about a 1/4" more. The special bolt goes in ok and tightens up. Still have a grinding on 20% of my starts. Bendix seems ok.

Had a similar problem with the push/pull switch on my WF. Previous owner set it up with a pull lever on the steering column, instead of the floor pedal. I disassembled the switch and mounted the lever the opposite way.
