What would a non running 1948 G with a 1 bottom plow, cultivator, disk and a 5' sickle mower be worth? Its been a couple years since it was last run. Their price is $3490.00 Is this a fair price? Any help would be welcome. Thanks!!

sounds way over priced for a non running G to me. A restored one should be at that number. mower is worth about 300 a plow 200

Randy: Here in the North East I think the price is right on target. I paid $3500 for mine a few years ago and it also was not running. But naturally the price will vary from person to person and day to day. First thing I like to check before buying is the steering. Turn the steering wheel right and left and check how much play is in the box. If the tractor has a lot of hours those boxes tend to get loose. You can check the color of the oil and some other things, but the oil may have been changed and never run. But if you want a "G" I would say the price is right and the attchments are a big bonus.

Randy,

If you will reply to my email with your email address, I can give some really good info before you step in to this high priced unknown tractor.
The sickle mowers for these, for instance, are cute, but they were never practical, they will about shake you off the tractor if you try to use it.
