Allis WD Loader conversion to 2-way cylinders poss

I have an Allis WD with a factory loader. Being someone who always wants to change things, I want to know how I can put 2-way cylinders on the lift arms and a 2-way hydraulic cylinder on the bucket. Will the pump support this have any of you done this-what about the existing valve system. Is this feasible, or should I leave things alone?

The most important feature to not overlook is the Oil Capacity of your tractor Hydraulic system. "Is there enough Oil"?

Exactly- my response assumed a front mount pump and reservoir. Internal pump will not power 4 double-acting cylinders. Too little capacity. Use a separate system and keep the internal for Snap-Coupler implements. Local ex-AC dealer told me years ago when AC introduced the D17 at dealer mtg in Mpls- dealers actually booed the speaker when he described the 'new' D17 hydraulic system. No more capacity than the WD45. AC was on the cutting edge on some things, but not tire size or hydraulics and pto.

It certainly is feasible, as the others said. However, if you put double acting cylinders on the loader boom, look into getting a control valve with a float feature for that oil line. That gives you the option of power down, which is handy, but allows the loader to float when needed, rather than gouging in.

guy>Link gives a pretty good explanation of how he did it on a wd 45 and has pictures. wd would be almost identical. also remember that the wd has low volume, high pressure hydraulic system so take that into consideration when adding new remotes and cylinders

my D17 Series 1 has both...one way on the up and down part of loader and 2 way on the dump part...it was plumbed up before i got it but i'm pretty sure the WD and D17 have same pump style...you'd need to add a 2 way valve or 2 2 ways for full dual action

You can put a front crankshaft hydralic pump on and the 2 ways will work.Had a 445 Allis loader on a WD-45 with the front pump,worked great.
