I installed copper plug wires and Champion J8's...and she fired right up, BUT, she started to miss again right after she warmed up...the old plugs had some carbon on them, so I gonna tear into the carb again before I get a Mag...I pulled a plug and put it against the block and have a nice blue fire...maybe it's too rich after warm up and it's just plain flooding out as we get closer to operating temp....?

i prefer J11 plugs as they are a hotter plug and will burn bleaner. BOB

Yep Bob, someone else said that and they also liked the NGK B4...cause it was a direct crossover from the original AC45.

champions suck ditch water! what did carbon look like? was it black and powdery looking? if so its running rich...if its wet looking rub plug with your finger and see if it feels oily...could have a stuck ring or if its a fresh engine rings may not be seated yet...check your air cleaner for restrictions too...that will cause em to run rich.
did i mention champions suck?

I'm gonna get NGK's as soon as I can...the Champs were readily avail and I needed a non-resist plug to rule out the mag...the carbon is powdery, and I have carbon on the muffler too so I'm pretty sure it's the carb...i'm going to rebuild today
