The horsepower information has been fixed. The 43 for the engine was, obviously, way off. It was a typo. If you find any other errors, I'd be happy to fix them.

In general, the weight for the Nebraska test is much higher than listed weight for any tractor. Tractors are heavily ballasted for the tests. A notable exception was the Ford 9N. Ford engineers didn't realize how most companies rig their tractors for the test. The 9N showed only 12 HP at the drawbar. The 8N, with almost the same engine, showed 20 HP.

The Nebraska ALWAYS show the factory shipping weight as well as the weight with operator for each test. When I quoted Nebraska weight for a tractor, it was the shipping weight without operator.

Thanks for the service. It provides a lot of useful information.

THANKS DENNY. I'M LEARNING. I'VE BEEN ABLE TO SET ASIDE SOME $ FOR THIS AND HOPE TO GET ONE TO WORK ON SOON. I'M 55 AND JUST GOING TO GET STARTED. I CAN'T FIND A MASSEY 44 NEAR HOME SO WILL PROBABLY GO TO THE ALLIS'S I GREW UP ON. I FARMED IN THE 70'S AND HAD 1066 IH AND 706 AND THE 44. LEFT THE FARM FOR THE CHALLENGES OF MANAGING AN AGRY BRANCH AND GRAIN FACILITY FOR THE COOP. IT HAS BEEN A VERY GOOD TO ME ALSO. WISH ME LUCK AND I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU AND OTHERS ON THIS SITE. JIM
