I AM LOOKING AT WHAT I WAS TOLD WAS 1931 AC B, HAS REAR STEEL WITH FRONT SPOKE RUBBER. REBUILT MOTOR AND GOOD METAL EXCEPT FOR GRILL METAL HAS A HOLE IN IT. QUESTION IS $1200.00 ABOUT RIGHT FOR THIS TRACTOR???

turned out to ba a 1939, bought it any way, he throwed in a Deere-mansur two row corn planter never heard of it but took it anyway it will look good in the front yard or at the tractor show thanks for the reply.

This could be very rare since the first B rolled off the assembly line in 1938. Don't know about value. One with rubber on rear would be as Steve says - less than $1000. Don't know if steel would add or reduce cost. For me it is a reduction. Someone else might think it is a valuable option. If you like it, $1200 isn't that much more than $900.

Allis started building the B in 1937, but for most purposes you can assume the first year was 1938. they built till 1958. you can look at the serial number by the shift lever. most tractors with steel rear wheels were built in the 1942-43 era, due to the WWII rubber shortage. As a collectors item with steel, it might be $1200 to the right guy. If it has starter, hydraulics and generator, maybe. A normal B in that condition with rubber tires is about $900. If you want steel then it is worth it. If you plan to use as a farm tractor, i would find one with rubber tires. Make sure you get a starter and hydrulic pump, they are well worth it.
