I have a I-60 with a 4cyl gas eng. It was running rough before I parked it, then recently I went to start it when I found water in my #3 cylinder. There is no water in any of the other cylinders and no signs of water in the oil pan.
I am guessing this could be a head gasket or worse. If there are any AC fans that have knowledge with the 160 gas engine, could you just give me a shout of advice. Thanks, David

Just reading your words, you say water in #3. Water can only come from the exhaust stack left uncovered outside. If it is anti-freeze, you are likely to have a bad gasket or, in my opinion, a cracked head. You also said it was running rough when you shut it down. That would suggest anti-freeze from the radiator caused by a bad gasket or cracked head. If you didn't over-heat it several times, it is unlikely to be the gasket. You can do lots of tests, but, unless it is water from the exhaust stack (which I consider unlikely because of the statement about rough running), you've got a problem requiring a tear down of the top end of the engine. Your oil is probably contamininated as well. Slowly loosen the drain on the engine pan with a paper towel. The water or antifreeze will come out first so you'll be able to tell the source.

i'm not familar with the 160 engine but a compression test should tell you if a head gasket is involved...if it has a top exhaust stack is there a chance rain water got in?
also if theres a auto zone close by you can borrow [with $80. deposit] a cooling system pressure checker...that will definitly tell you if theres a leak.
