My A-C B would hand crank cold great but would not hand crank when hot. When I remove the air cleaner it will crank up. Was advised to put a kit in carb and reface bowl and body gasket surfaces. Have done this,now it won't hand crank cold but will hot with air cleaner on. Got this tractor not running and missing parts,have been working on this with the hood off,this tractor is shaping up very nice and the carb is the only bug I have left. Gary/Md

Washed out aircleaner early on in keroseen,it seems to be very open now and OK. I go along with choke not choking now but did before. Carb was leaking gas at bowl gasket before but not now with refacing. Motor idles and runs OK but will not hand crank cold now.Motor has a magneto that is in good shape and is timed with a timing light Will start with the electric starter cold. Got me stumped. Take the air cleaner off and flush out inners with solvent or gas...you'll be amazed at what comes out...then, make sure you have oil in the cleaner cup. A clogged air cleaner can cause flooding real quick at cold start...and just provide alittle prime when hot starting.

I rebuilt my Zenith for $20 in about 2hrs.

After carb kit, starts hot, filter on, won't start cold..... sounds like the choke is not 'choking'. Chuck

Take the air cleaner cup off and try to start it, chances are the air cleaner is packed with crud
