B radiator/fuel cap follow-up question (and spring

I found a fuel cap locally that fits great for the "41 B"s fuel, however it doesn"t seem to vent the pressure. After running the B for a while after installing the cap, there was a decent amount of pressure built up when it was warmed up and shut off. I took the cap that was originally on the fuel tank (that fit loose) and put it back on the fuel tank. The new cap I put on the radiator, since that"s the cap I really needed anyway. My question is: Will this non-venting (apparently) cap be OK to use as a radiator cap since this tractor is originally a non-pressurized system? Will this cap cause too much cooling system/radiator pressure?

Also, does anyone have a picture or a link showing the spring between the clutch shaft and the pedal shaft?

Thanks again!

your cap can't build pressure if your radiator has a overflow tube, as it will vent it.
doubt if cap built pressure on the gas tank, but will cause a vacuum that can restrict fuel flow to the engine. have fun with that b. great little tractor. BOB

Thanks Bob, I thought it had built pressure in the fuel tank because when I opened it right after there was a LOT of air that forcefully rushed out. Even the next day quite a bit came out when it cooled further. I didn't even think about the overflow for the radiator. Thanks for the assistance!! (and I AM enjoying the heck out of the B, it really seems like a neat tractor)
