AC 180 WON'T SHUTDOWN

MY AC 180 DIESEL SPUTTERED AND THEN WOULD NOT SHUTDOWN WITH THE FUEL SHUTOFF. TEMP WAS NORMAL, FUEL WAS GETTING LOW BUT PRIMARY FILTER WAS FULL. FINALLY SHUTDOWN AFTER TEN MINUTES.ANY HELP APPRECIATED

Your unit won't run without fuel so its not being shut off period..... ..... .

Did you check the shut off arm on the pump to make sure it was full off.Sometimes the cable slips or if it's like a 185 a clamp on the cable comes loose then the cable flexs instead of going to full off.
