1959 Allis D14 Follow-up Question

I've posted here quite a few times regarding a 1959 D14 that I purchased ($500) earlier this year. The tractor sat for 20 years (outside since the owner passed in late 1980's)anyway, it was a gamble rebuilding the engine since I knew nothing about the tractors condition at the time it was parked. Although a lot of surface rust, the tractor was in perfect condition as far as sheet metal, grill, fenders etc.

With a lot of help from everyone here on YT, I went through and rebuilt the engine completely due to corroded cylinders and everything it had to be done.

The good news is, she purrs like a kitten! Since finishing the project (no paint yet)I've used the tractor to mow a 20 acre tract I have in Texas, mainly in 3rd low pulling a 6' bush hog she performed flawlessly!

The only concern I have at this point is the oil pressure, it starts cold at 22psi and runs about 11psi at 190 degrees. I'm using Delo 400 15 40w, is this oil pressure about right or should I be concerned??

Put straight 30 wt oil in the tractor will be fine. or use 20-50 An AC block man told me in 1970 to use 30 wt or higher they will lube well enough.

Get rid of the Lbs gauge and get an A-C gauge that only reads NORMAL. It's a mind thing, motors should have 35 or so lbs of oil preswsure right? been there and done that, LOL.

About 12 is normal pressure when in use.

Texas Temperatures usually call for a 170 thermostat which should keep engine temp at 180 or less. You might have a 180 or 190 which I'd recommend changing to 170. You might try a good external wash of the radiator. If temps don't stay down, you should take the radiator somewhere and have it cleaned.
