Last spring I was ask if I wanted an old roto-tiller that friend had in his garage. He knew I restored tractors as a hobby and for some reason he thought I would want this old tiller. It turned out to be a very old tiller. I brought it home and after hunting for imformation on the manufacturer, I came into cotact with a gentleman who collects and restores roto-tillers. I sold him the tiller to restore. It turned out that this friend who had the tiller also had an old Allis B parked beside his garage. This B belonged to his landlord and he ask me to make him a offer. So I used the money I got from the tiller to buy the B. It has not been started in about two years but I was assured it ran. It has a plow mounted on it which I have to figure out how to take off. The metal is in terrible shape but it is sound otherwise. In fact it has new tires all the way around and two new rear rims. This is my second B. I plan to bring it back to life over the winter but I think I will make a pulling tractor out of it. I don't want to power it up. I wish to leave it at factory specs but I hope there are some of you out there that are willing to give me some advice on where to place weighs, how much weigh to put on and other pointers on making this a respectible pulling tractor.
