When the wd 45 gets working it will start to miss. It almost kills the tractor, you have to adjust the throttle to get it to stop missing. Also when you are idling and then give it heavy throttle it will pop/sputter and then rev up. Is this coil/timing related. Any ideas--thanks

Check your fuel flow. Get a can and unscrew the plug on the bottom of the carb..... ...you should get a nice, even flow for (try at least 30 seconds). If the engine hesitates or coughs when you crack the throttle open, the mixture is too lean, meaning there is not enough gas in the accelerator well to keep up with the air flow. The marvel-schebler carbs to not have an accelerator pump like cars used to.

I would check the mixture first, sounds lean.
