I"m having an AC B delievered from Ohio (I"m in Michigan) in the next day or so. I"m REALLY excited about it. It has the 3 pt. hitch and comes with 3 new tires/rims installed as well as a 3 pt. plow. I can"t wait! Now for the inevitable questions for those with WAY more knowledge than I have: Do you feel I"ll need tire chains for snowplowing? Will this be able to lift/move a 3 pt. tiller? Is the ground speed slow enough? Thanks!

I use a back blade for snow on a B with no fluid, wheel weights, and new rear tires. It handles the blade much better than the TO-30 Ferguson that I used before. I was surprised that I only needed chains when it was icey.

Ground speed my be a little fast, just a guess by the way. As far as lifting it should but the front will be very lite. And yes you will probably need chains and fluid or weights. There nice little tractors but not much as far as being heavy.

Thank you for the reply Old. Could you give me any pointers as to how to operate this when it arrives. I"m semi-familiar with older tractors, but haven"t run a B before. I"ve run larder AC"s, Ford N"s, and the like, but not one like this. Thanks again!

Running it will be like running an orange 8N, no live any thing. There nice little tractors, made for a 1 bottom plow. About the same HP as an 8N at 22HP for the B. Other then that I can't say much been years since I have owned one but a B was the first tractor I ever rebuilt the engine on, and that was when I was 18 so its been a long, long time. LOL

Where in MI? I live 20mi east of Port Huron, have 3 B's and would be happy to show you around one. I also get out to Flint, add the Lansing-Jackson area now and again.

A great little tractor for pushing snow and such. Pretty easy to work on and maintain once you know what's what.

3 point is aftermarket but mighty nice. mine have combinations of factory and custom equipment, hydraulics, mowers, plows, etc. If you do weight the tires use RimGuard not chloride - a little more but eliminates the corrosion issue. It's pretty widely available here in MI now.

D13...I"m in West Branch, about 45min. above Bay City/Saginaw. I"m really excited about getting it Tuesday. Should be pretty neat. Here"s the link if you or anyone"s interested (yes, it was an auction. couldn"t find one locally for anywhere near a reasonable price.) Link One more question (for now): I have a category 0 single bottom plow/disk combo and am curious if it would be compatible with the category 1 on the AC B?

You need a set of sleeve adaptors for the pins. Hve never loked for 0-1 (my stuff is all 1-2) but TSC ought to have them.

The B will happily handle up to a 16" plow.

I got the adapters from TSC today, however it looks like the pins are quite short. I'm going to have to unbolt them and see if I can't find longer ones to substitute. Tractor's coming on Tuesday....can't wait!!!

Well, it didnt" show up yesterday. The shipper said it will be here tomorrow (for sure). On a brighter note, the seller told me he included a set of new tire chains and all sorts of manuals for it, as well as the original drawbar. Already came with a 3 pt. back blade. That"s pretty cool! Can"t wait to try it out.
