Need more info to help you much. When you say fire you mean it doesn't have spark? Or not getting gas?? Takes 3 things for an engine to fire. Compression, spark, and fuel, all at the right time. Do you have a good blue spark? If yes do you have fuel and is it getting to the plugs?? Does it have compression and enough to make it fire??

Hi Old

It has good blue spark. Lots of fuel. 160 lbs. compression if not more. Rockers are set to .012". Timing is right on. It did run before it was painted, after the engine was rebuilt. It was all changed over to 12 volt. Could it be the type of coil I'm using (non-resistant)?

Sounds like its the classic give it a pull to get it going. Some times after doing all that work you have something just a little off and you need to pull start it to get all the little adjustments done.

Old if you are still there. Pull started tractor for an hour. Still have compression and fuel but no spark. Seems like something is draining the battery. What type of coil should I be using. Appreciate your help.
