What would be a fair price to pay for a 1960's 190 in pretty good shape. Also own a 185 that the block(rebuilding it) has seen better days. The inside where the cylinder sleeve sits is pitted pretty bad. Need help before it's put back together. Thanks

I was told to stay away from the plain 190. They say they are loaded with problems. I don't know but I thought I would share what I was told.

A 190 in decent shape in the upper midwest is probably worth $4500. A good range is 35-5500, but the $5500 would be acceptional.
As for the 185 block, about the only thing that can be done is to have the block machined and sleeves installed in the oring area. I'm not aware of an easy fix. I imagine if someone was real patient, you could put some JB Weld in the bores and hone it smooth and try that, but I'd not go that route. Good luck!
