Hi Folks,
I don't mind giving free advice on this forum ,(I've been a mechanic for more than 20 years)because almost all of the people who talk to me or ask Questions are so nice and very thankful.I love being able to keep these older tractors running. But if I try and post my phone number so people can call me direct they won't let me post.I don't make people buy parts from me in exchange for advice, that's not what I am here for, but if they want to I am here to help any way I can. Let me know what you think. [email protected]
Thanks,
:) Jerry

Hey Jerry. I can sympathize with you to an extent, but Kim may have your best interest at heart. I would not want to put my phone number on a national forum because of all of the kooks out there. If somebody needs to correspond with you personally, go thru E mail and you are protection yourself in this process. Just keep doing what you do so well. Us old idiots on this forum need your help and expertise and we appreciate your input even more that you know. Thanks for everything that you do.

Jerry,
I know how you feel. It seems like everywhere you go nowadays, the good guy can't catch a break. I guess it's just a sign of the times; sure wish it could change.

Seems like people have too much time on their hands, if all they have to do is aggravate good folks, and look for ways to screw up peoples' lives via the internet.

Sometimes I think I was born 50-100 years too late.

Have a good one,

Dale(MO)

Has nothing to do with help, has to do with parts sales. The owner of this site sells tractor parts. She started blocking competition from posting a couple years ago. POed me at the time because I generaly post replys to the real old stuff she doesnt sell parts for but I was blocked anyway. I assume she blocks by keywords of some sort which is why you cant post your phone. Sites and emails have also been blocked as have posters by their ISP addys. There are several ways you can contact Kim. Her site email is posted here of go to feedback Forum which she monitors.

I also do my best to help people, but I never give out my phone number on here but if people ask me for it I tell them to drop me an e-mail and I always post it.

If the only people that came here were like you or someone who needed help, you would be 100% correct. But there is an element in our society that are not good guys. They do not have any interest in this sites activities but are just looking for ways to annoy and hurt others. Because they exist, the site must make rules which they believe will prevent bad people from being successful in hurting others. The site carries a small amount of liability so they must protect themselves and the users.

I believe we have a good method of contacting others by email if the users are brave and give their email address. I always do and haven't had a problem. And I get some emails.

I guess it is a sign of our times that bad people inconvenience us all the time.
