I Have A Allis 49' C That Keeps Setting Up The Plugs At Idle. It Also Seems To Miss Alot At Idol Too. After Its Reved Up To A Pretty High RPM It Seems To Stop Missing And Wont Set Up The Plugs. Can Anyone Help Me Try And Figure Out What Needs To Be Done To Make This Tractor Run Smoother Thanks, Jay

there is a spring loaded air/ adjustment screw on top of the carburetor. screw it all the way in, then back on 1 turn to test. go a little in or out and see if that helps. if not, you might need to have carburetor cleaned out and jets cleaned.

I have a B that was doing the same thing...it was multiple little things.
1. Clean the carb out. You have to take the jet out and make sure that all 6 holes in the tube are clear. Mine had 2 clogged and it ran terrible. 2.The mix screw is for idle only...once off idle, the mix is preset. Start with the screw about 1 turn out, then turn out more to get it to idle the way you want.
3. If you have a dremel tool with a little wire brush on it, this is great for cleaning up the contacts on the dist cap and rotor.

I did these things and it runs like new.
