WD45, painting question

Who cares. When it came from the factory everything was painted orange except the tires. The point is, we are beginning to sound more and more like the Two Cylinder crowd and thats not good.

Whatever you think looks better. just please dont listen to people like the orangeman who paint with a brush, and dont understand what its like to want to have your tractor CORRECT. I restore tractors for people and the Allis people seem to like the carb reg. metal and the filter the color it already is. brad

So your answer would be to paint it orange? Just trying to get it right, so we can leave some accurate examples of Orange machines for the next generation! Besides, I made a promise to myself to restore this machine to factory original as a tribute to my late Uncle. This discussion board is usually an excellent source of information, when answer are provided in a pleasant and respectful manner. Remember, there are no stupid questions.

We had a new 1948 Wd which was all orange, carb, generator, everything except the headlights which were black. Had a new 54 WD-45 which was all orange, as was said, everthing but the tires!

You are right. Sorry, Must have been having a bad day. I paint everything orange except for the muffler(silver) the rear wheel rim(silver) and the starter and generator (black) Don"t know if its correct but it looks nice.
