I have succesfully installed a Zenith 24T-2 from a Petter engine on to a B. The throttle control arm on the Zenith is much shorter than the one that was on the original Marvel carb. Can someone with a Zenith carb installed please tell me how long the arm is on their carb ?

The carb does work well but while running in 3rd there is a noticable slowing down/speeding up which feels like 'over control' of the carb butterfly. This would be the case if the arm were too short. Photos on: Link

I made a control arm based on the length of the Marvel Schebler carb and it works. However I now get cycling quite badly. It did cycle previously on the shorter control arm but not as bad as it does now. The thing that reduces the cycling is to remove the return spring from the governor control arm (where it joins to the carb control arm)..
