I have just finished installing new clutch assy. into my model c, 1949 model and after running it down the lane for a few minutes, it jumped out of gear. From that point it would run again in gear a few moments and then jump out. Also nuetral was hard to locate. Can any one offer their thoughts as to what it coud be, as I will be seperating the tractor to install needed seals thruout the transmission, rear end. Thank You, Dean in ON, Canada

i would drain the transmission oil, then pull the 6 inch diameter round cover off the right front side of the transmission. the shift forks are on the plate on slide rods. have transmission in neutral when you slide it out.--- look at the sides of the gears to see if any are rounded off on the shift dogs (lugs). also see if one fork is bent or worn bad, that keeps it from going in neutral.
