My family has decided to sell Dad's 1938 WF (unstyled) and are not sure what it is worth. The tractor has always been shedded and still runs. It has been used very little the past 50 years. The only thing missing is the little tank that mounted under the hood that you put gas in to start it before you switched it to kerosene. Any ideas?

First: I don't have any idea what it's worth.
Second: You need to put it in a well advertized auction with other antique tractors to get the most for it. Third: If anyone in the family want's it, please try and make sure they get it. It would be a real shame to let it get away from the family. In my opinion it would be worth $1000 or more, less money to keep it in the family.
Fourth: You could consider putting it on Ebay Make sure it is properly listed, with good photos and serial number information, and see what happens.

Not the best comparison, but last year I bought a 1949 (styled) WF for $1750. Starts and runs well, wrong front wheels, good sheet metal except for bad fenders, rear tires 50%, generator but no wiring harness, good paint job, but sprayed on over 1/2 inch grease!
