I thought I would replace my oilbath air cleaner on my 1941 Allis C with some kind of a paper filter.Instead of reinventing "the wheel", I thought some one out there might have a source for this kind of a set up. I do not use this tractor for field work, only parades and pulling.Thanks Tom

I can't remember where I read this but someone said that they put a K&N filter on a WD-45. It said that it fit inside of the original housing and no one was the wiser. Might be something to check in to.

I've got a C that has a car air filter housing adapted to fit on top of the original cleaner pipe....don't look too bad, and filters are cheap.

Filter tests show that oil bath filters take out about 94% of the dirt while paper filters take out 99.99% of the dirt. I have seen an advertisement where they take your old oil bath and fit a paper element inside so the looks stay the same. Sorry I can't tell you who does this.

Well, I certainly have some pondering to do on this.I looked at a sponge filter that is oiled instead of a paper filter, but like it has been said, the price might not make that set up worth while. Thanks for the input. Tom

don't change your oil bath type filter, they work very well. if cleaned and serviced properly they will trap more dust than a paper one

You'd actually be taking a step backwards by doin this.. the oil bath / mesh filter is more efficient than the paper pleated filters..

Just my opinion, but if you only use the tractor for parades and pulling, then don"t ruin the looks...just use the filter that"s been on it for the last 64 years. DOn"t waste the money.

If your not to worryed about looks you can put on a hi pro filter that is made for a motorcycle or ones they have at auto parts stores. it would just clamp on to the end of the carb.
