I'm new to this board as I've only had IH tractors until recently. My brother and I just picked up an Allis Chalmers CA that was built in 1953. Are there any dealers that carry Allis parts? I'm in Michigan and would appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance.

I RECENTLY PURCHASE A 1964 ALLIS CHALMERS D-17.
THIS IS A DIESEL AND IT IS THE SERIES IV. SO FAR I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND A REPAIR KIT FOR THE HYDRAULIC PUMP. THE 3 POINT HITCH WILL BARELY COME UP. IT TAKES A LONG TIME. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE A REPAIR KIT FOR THIS
MODEL HYDRAULIC PUMP WOULD BE?

Ron; Card Bros. Equipment;1229 W. Brady(M-57) Chesaning, Mi. put a new clutch in my 1941 AC-C. Work was fine. Good company to deal with. Mike Coleman would be a good contact person there. They are an AGCO-ALLIS Dealer. Hope this helps. Tom Dooley

Don't know about Michigan but around here Napa, Orielly's and Carquest have overhaul kits for a lot of equipment and tractors. Agco dealers seem to be kinda high on a lot of stuff. Then we have specialty shops for Hydraulic parts genarators Magnetos and such. Can get just about anything. We have some good salvage places that can track down a lot of stuff if they don't have it. Then we also have a few that don't seem to give a rip. Don't see many CAs around here so don't know how hard sheet metal and such would be to find.

There are advertisers selling parts on this web site - check them out. You can get most engine parts, clutch, bearings, belts, etc from your local auto parts store.

Yup the local auto parts store - the old guy that's been there for 30 or 40 years. Just don't expect the kid working at the big named autoparts store on the strip to help you out.

Some of the local farm stores carry or can get tractor parts.

Allis-Chalmers is now AGCO, problem is some AGCO dealers used to be other brands, like Oliver, Massey etc and dont want to deal with A-C parts. You can do a web search for AGCO and use the dealer locator. If your local dealer isnt knowledgable Sandy Lake Equipmentin Sandy Lake Pa is widely known as one of the best Allis/AGCO dealers in the east.

I work at an Agco dealer that for as new equipment is manly Massy but for as parts we handle just about anything and work on anything, night be because no other local dealers in our area. David
