On my 190"s you have to have the traction booster and depth control levers all the way back and then hold the hyd lever all the way foward.

Do you have the traction booster and depth control levers all the way forward?

The lift cylinder is single acting: The hydraulics pick up the arms, but only gravity brings "em back down.

If I raise the lift arms too much while hitching an implement, I stand on the right arm and push the lever into the down position (it"s a bit of a streatch.)

Make sure the position control & traction boost levers are fully forward, so the boost pump doesn"t hold "em up.

You might also have to lube the position control and traction boost linkages: I had a heck of a time last winter trying to use the box blade after leaving my 170 out during an ice storm. The hydraulics seemed to have a mind of their own due to frozen linkage joints.
