Hello smater ones than myself, just finishing rebuild of Wd and there is no mention in my IT manual about setting valves other than .012" hot. I have worked on many deere engines and they have a set of rockers that you set at # 1 TDC and so on. What does AC do that i'am missing ?. Thank You.

From my operators manual,"To adjust clearance, turn engine with crank until valve closes and push rod is at its lowest position. Loosen valve adjusting screw locknut and turn screw until there is .012" clearance valve stem and rocker arm. Tighten lock nut and recheck. The engine must be heated to operating temperature when making this adjustment."
