Would like to find out point gap setting for Dist. points. Would all so like gap setting for the plugs.
This is a 1941 model. The Dist. was added later in life. It belonged to my father. It has been inside for the last 25 years. Turns over fine, just not getting fire to points. Any help will be welcomed.

I suppose the distributor came off a CA. If you can get them between 0.015 and 0.020, they should work pretty good. Lubricate the cam with good greese. After it's running, adjust the timing by rotating the distributor.

file or sand the points to get the old varnish off. wiggle the point open and closed with a screw driver and you should see small sparks. make sure you have voltage to the coil? key or switch on?

I gap my Autolite plugs at .030 to .040 as per the owners manuel. It calls for a mag point gap of .020. Mine is an AC C 1941. Hope this helps. Tom
