Check the linkage between the shift valve and the lever. The bushings in the bellcrank are probably loose. The valve may not be fully shifting.

Dads 190 was something like this. It had fail not long after work had been done on the Power Director. Ue live with it for years until the tractor would not move out of a creek one day. We split the 190 and found that the center sealing ring had fail putting oil pressure on both the high and low clutch pack. We replaced the clutch packs, sealing rings and the housing the sealing rings seal in. Works great now.

Hi If I was to guess, I would say it is in your power-director.Losing pressure by the piston or your clutch pak slipping. Could be in your valve, but it has been my experience that it will be inside.Fairly easy fix, not horribly expensive. You have to split it behind the torque-tube,then everything is right in front of you.If you have questions please feel free to write or [email protected]
Thanks,
:) Jerry
