Hurst, like I said, just a couple of minor leaks would not stop me. However, you may want to inspect the tractor leaks a little closer to see if you can pinpoint exactly where they are coming from to know what you may be up against to repair them if they get worse. I myself, would really rather not ever have to split a tractor of this size to do any repairs, if I don't have to, mainly because of not being properly set up with the right shop at this time. Who knows, if they are really minor you may never have to address them at all. A few years back, I bought a Allis model 200, with what I would describe as some major hydraulic and lift problems. The tractor was used to carry a large spray tank on the lift, which stayed on the tractor all the time, and after years, it had worn everything out on the lift. Also some major leaks on the hydraulics and a weak hydraulic pump. But the rest of the tractor, motor, transmission, tires and everything else were really in good condition. And the price was too good to pass on. I also new I had access to a parts tractor that I could get for all of the lift parts I needed(pretty much the entire 3 point system) and hydraulic pump. Most of my leaks turned out to be some bad o-rings. I did have to drop a couple of the drain pans under the tractor, to repair leaks. Anyway, for my time and not much more than a $150 or so in repairs, I now have a really good tractor with no leaks on the hydraulics. I am not a tractor mechanic by no means, but with the help of others, some of these repairs are not as hard as they may seem. MWM
