What would be a reasonable selling price for 53wd: wide front end, new rear rims and tires, new front tires, rebuilt hydraulic pump, 12 volt electrical system, three point conversion, repainted with decals, new battery box and toolbox, less than 100 hrs on engine rebuild, rebuilt Marvel-Schebler carb, new exhaust manifold?

A decent wide front WD45 is about $1600 in central Indiana - your description indicates your WD would be over that by the amount the tires and work are worth to the potential buyer. Where is it? Is it too nice to work, or ready to work like new?

Is it too nice to work, or ready to work like new? My WD is in Marshall County, northern Indiana. I use the tractor on my farm to mow and spread manure, so I guess you could say it's ready to work like new.

: : I've done alot more looking since that first post, might have some helpful info now. The 'working' WD's I know of right now are $1100 to $3500. The price I've come to regard as average is about $1600. That $3500 tractor has an engine rebuilt to WD45 specs, new exhaust, 12v conversion, driveline and hydraulics are ok, needs some work to prepare for paint (looks semi-ratty), the rear wheels are not original, and the tires are fossils. The price includes a big AC front loader. I think he's a little high - he's still got it. There's a nice '55 WD45 wide front for $2600 west of here right now, and that includes a 5' bush hog. But I haven't encountered a restored specimen like yours. I guess you might try $3500 plus something for the tires plus something for the paint job. Hey, if it's high, the market will tell you. Better than giving it away. Your tractor sounds exceptional, if I'd hit the lottery I'd be at your door. Hope this helps.
