Hi all, I recently bought a model b wide front off ebay. I don"t have a manual yet but need some basic info before going to pick it up. I need general specs. Length, width, and weight. I just need to know how big a trailer I"ll need to rent or borrow to pick it up. Also, I"ll ask opinions. I ended up paying $700.00 for it. tin looks decent, starts and runs good (according to the ad) nice original looking machine. Don"t know the year. It comes with a breaking plow and cultivators (the kind that mount underneath). Does it sound like I got a fair deal? Until now I"ve just owned two fords, a 44 2N and a 59 881D, so I am new to AC tractors. What years did they make the b? Where will I find the SN? I guess now I"ll be on this forum too. Thanks in advance for the help and opinions. Eric

they built them from 1938 to 1958. quite a few built. as mentioned they weigh a little over a ton, and are normally less than 56 inches wide. you can move the rims in and out to get different. a small 6 x 10 with 3500 pound axle trailer will handle it. yours has a starter, battery and generator so i guess built after 42. serial number is by the transmission shift lever about 10,000 built per year.

Hi Eric, weight 2251lbs. width 40 to 52 inches depending how the rear wheels are set.length 110 inches according to the Allis Chalmers Data Book by Terry Dean.About 22 horsepower. It's a great little tractor, I mow about 5 acres with mine with a 6' finish mower.I have a three point conversion for this, but the front end is too light. The hydraulics are plenty strong to pick up the mower but as soon as I start moving the front end comes off the ground. good luck with yours.
