Looking at a 200AC, how good are they? I"ve always been a Case and John Deere guy but this tractor kind of caught my eye. It"s a 1976 model with cab, good rubber, good tin with real good original paint, always kept in the shed with 2000 original one owner hours. Did these tractors have transmission problems like the 190"s did, slipping out of gear? How much is a tractor like this worth? Thanks for any help you can give.

Just so you know, it can't be newer than a 73 or 74 if I remember right. By 1975 they replaced the 200 with the maroon belly 7000.

200 is a nice tractor, an upgraded 190, it had the larger axles and also the 1000 rpm pto option which made it more useful. Yes watch for jumping out of gear, for some reason AC couldn't bulletproof the tranny for "gear grinders"!

$5000 to $7000 for a real nice one.
