wd45 price

i went to a flea market today and found a we45 for sale, 1948 mabee i don't remeber the year exaclty. anyway, the guy claims it runs good, it has a disc, cultivator,plow, blade, and a loader with it. it also have a snap-coupler on it. he's asking $2500. the tires were in good shape, new front, but he had bigger wheels on the back not stock for a wd45. he also took off the power adujust wheels for stamped steel. is the price right? should i go for it? thanks

I would check more closely. Your discription is of a styled WD not a WD45. Regardless, The Attachments are a got to have for some people but my persaonal opinion is it is not worth the asking price. $1500.00 to $1700.00 for the lot would be fair.

thanks for the help. i drove by the flea market again today and it was gone. i'm not sure if some one bougt it or not. i'm not really even sure i'm interseted, but i need a loader tractor and i like AC's so it caught my eye.

If it"s really a WD45 and not a straight WD then I"d say the price is about right for on in good shape. The WD had a large removable plate on the side of the engine block, the WD45 did not, it"s block was solid. If it turns out to be a WD, then I would think the price is $500 or so too high. A lot depends on condition, and the condition of the implements. Don"t worry too much about the combine wheels if you are not going to try and show the tractor, or if you are not going to cultivate row crops with it. Just my opinion of the deal.

The rear wheels that you describe are probably from a combine. Now this is just me. I consider it a big negative if the power adjust rims are missing. Usually with combine tires, a standard trailer is not wide enough. Without adjustable rear wheels, you can't always be satisfied with wheel spacing with implements. Like I've already said, when I see fixed rear wheels on WD's and WD-45's, I don't look twice - I look somewhere else. There are plenty around. Why buy one without all the capability.

Regarding the price, I agree with Old. With all the implements, it would certainly be worth that money if it had the right wheels.

Just bought 1957 WD45 with pto hyd 3pto foe $2000.00. Got a good deal sounds like. How good of a tractor is the WD45?
