model100 combine engine

Hello guy's, I am curious if someone can give me a guess-timate of what the value of a 100 combine engine is worth. I have one that runs very good and have a gentleman that would like to purchase it but I do not know what to ask for it. I am in a money crunch right now, so the more I can get the better. But I also do not want to make the price out of this world either. It has about 100hours on an overhaul.

Any help you guys can give me would be great.

It is the same engine as used in the WD45 tractor. Easy to spend $6-800 or more for an overhaul.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking abou 5-600 for it. I wish I could keep it around cause I was planning on putting it in a WD chassis. But it is just sitting around and not being used. I would hate to see it seize from setting around, but also hate to part with it cause it runs so good. It has actually sat for about 8 years, but I would turn it over about every 3 months or so. I dug it out on Saturday from storage, took off the carb and cleaned it all out and reassembled it. Checked the points and oil and put a battery and fuel to it and it fired right up as if it had just been run the day before.

Sorry for the ramblin'. Again thanks for the reply.

If it is running now, and you sell it for that, someone is going to get a good buy. I stuck over $800 in a WD already, and it is not done yet. When you add up all the little stuff, along with the real spendy parts, it gets into real dollars. Gasket set alone is 140. I have some WD blocks, cranks, S&P sets used that I want to put into oil barrels just to preserve them- too good to let them rust. Would gladly pay your price for a good running engine and save some OH time.
