I have a WD-45 and would like to put an electronic ignition in it. I have checked several sight and noted they are quit expensive. I also noticed that you can get them for autos too. Is there a auto ignition unit that would fit my WD-45 distributor that anyone knows about. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The Pertronix system costs about $80, if you check their web site. It is easy to install and points/condensor replacement and adjustment will be a thing of the past. You don not need the high power coil they sell - just get the breakerless ignition kit.

One thing to consider: You can order the Pertronix for 6 volt, positive ground, though you would be better off by first converting your '45 to 12 volt negative ground, if you haven't already done so. The 12 volt kit is a little less expensive, and 12/negative is more flexible if you later decide to make other electrical upgrades. If you order the Pertronix as 6/positive, you are locked into 6 volts.

maybe I didn't make myself clear, My question was " Is there an auto petronix ignition that will fit in the dist. of my WD-45 dist. " The prices of the auto petronix systems are about 20.00 cheaper than the tractor web sites. No names mentioned. Thanks again
