Robin: Try Kens Forklift Trucks at (856) 697-1307. The N62 was used in several different forklifts and Ken has always been able to find new and used parts for me. If your crank is not broken you may want to consider getting it welded and resized. I have had a couple resized and as far as I know they are still running.

I think I just saved you some money.. here's a couple links to a fellow in CA that I bought some parts for my G from. The parts were reasonable, and as advertised.

He has a crank pulled from a pony inthe G parts section.. 125$.. says excelent condition.. has head, pistons.. oil pump.. distribuitor.. cam.. crank gear.. clutch.. timing cover.. etc.. tranny case.. pretty much everything but a block..

here is the engine parts link...

Link

And his main allis link link:

I've no conenction to this guy.. but he has good salvage parts.. lots of pieces of my G came from him.. here's a pic of mine. Look under soundguy in the tractor photo section to see more. i made a 'satrt to finish' pictoral history of much or hte repair and body work and painting and parts assembly.

Hello, All Allis G tractors used the Continental N-62 engine, as did the Massey pony and Earthmaster. The block used in the G is different however. On the G the starter goes into the bell housing area from the front and on the other ones it goes in from the rear. Thus, the G block has a built in provision for the starter and the others do not. The G dosen"t use a Cub engine which is made by International and is totaly different.

IHC used a 1Y Continental engine for combines. Don't know if it shares internal parts. It's small.

My books say the Cub had a Farmall engine. The Massey Harris Pony does use this Continental engine. If you don't have any luck on this site, try the Massey board. And try Ebay. There are parts for these engines there frequently. I just saw a block for a G about a week ago - and a crank shaft plus other engine parts.

I think the Farmall Cub is the same engine.
