CA Mower Brush Hog PTO arm

Hi guys, my being restored CA has a extender arm attached to the PTO with what looks like a spring compressed bolt - "How do I release the bolt so I can remove the arm to attach to another running tractor PTO so I can fit the arm into the mower sleeve and use the foreign made brand "Brush Hog" mower? Bill

Does your pto have a slip clutch on it? I am having trouble visualizing, if that is the case you take out the grease fittings and/or screws, adn drive out a hollow roll pin that holds the slip clutch on the pto shaft. It may not look like there is anything in the hole, but trust me there is. Take a punch a little smaller than the hole in the slip clutch (some call it an over riding clutch) and drive that pin out. The ORC will slip off. I don't follow the bit about fitting another running pto to the shaft, so I will bow out here and let others chime in.

thanks Wild Bill, with your advise that old arm slipped right off of the PTO as slick as can be.
