Just tuned up my wd-45 with fresh plugs, new cap rotor,points and condenser and wires. Rebuilt the carb. but it still misfires at high RPM"s. Can anyone give me a clue what to check now.

if there is valves that hanging up,,pour some automatic tranny fluid in to your gas tank.. like a pint to a take,,mite smoke a bit,,but it will clean the valves,,and rings,,this tranny oil has verey high cleaner in it,,,may save you from haven to tear it down,,,

I've put in new plugs in a freshly rebuilt engine and had missing. Changed the plugs to an old set and it went away. Put the new plugs in a C and they worked fine. Go figure!

High RPM missing on rare occasion can be caused by sticky valves in a combination with weak valve springs. I've got this problem on a D-17 Diesel. I'll correct it when I redo the engine (shortly I hope). My experience with gas engines is that a sticky valve won't close even at low RPM. and the problem on a gas engine resulted from using old gas. I always had to pull the head and clean the valve stems.

Just a couple of thoughts which may or may not have anything to do with your problem.
