My D17 Series III has milky colored hyd oil. I assume it's moisture. How could it get in the system? System seems to work ok but should I change it anyway? Does anyone know what type oil to use and how much?

Thanks for any help!

it gets in the hydraulics thru the dip stick or breather areas. use a hydraulic- transmission fluid availabe at Wal Mar or local Farm Store. MOst common is "Universal- hy- trans". it is a 20 wt hydraulic oil. sells in 2 gallon pail. you probably need about 12 quarts.
