G model 6 volt neg. ground

Have 54 g model w/n62 continental engine. Someone has reversed the coil wires and made negative ground. Tractor runs, but does not charge and tends to eat points. How do I change it back to a positive ground? Or, where can I find the schematics so I can re-wire it? Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

switching the coil wires and switching the battery terminals should do it. not sure why it is eating points if both were switched. ----- to check the generator, there are two wires, F and A. ground the F to the frame and see if it starts charging. if so, then you have a ground problem with the F side of the system. Normally this is the light switch or gtround for the light box on a B. i assume the G uses the same system. If grounding the F does not work, take the A wire off generator and leve the F grounded. start tractor and measure the voltage across the A and F terminals. if it dont have 12-15 volts unregulated then generator is bad. once the cutout and 6 volt battery are connected it should "regulate" at 6-7 volts, roughly.
