Got our 1936 WC home finally!!

Well we bought a 1936 WC on Dec. 8th last year. Just got it home saturday paid $800 for it and from what i gathered on the tractor talk we over paid by a few hundred but then took about $600 in gas,motel,@food. So in a way more than just a couple hundred but its going to be alot of fun for me and my dad to fix and show off its an unstlyed and were looking for a few parts and any info on some would be really appricated! well hope to have a couple pics up tomorrow well thanks for any and all feedback! Oh it runs and does have a small crack in the block but they didnt tell us that, and to drive 1200 miles just to pick it up we didnt care no water in the oil and no oil in the water! Guess thats a good sighn! -Tyler

I apoligize if this is too long. My grandfather bought our WC new which took him from horses and into the mechanical farming era. My dad used it until I came along and then I learned to drive it. I am 58 yrs old and my dad just turned 87 and is in good health. As farming methods demanded more speed and production, I watched the tractor slowly being left unused. When dad retired from farming he sold everything except the U Minneapolis and the WC. My dad had put it into a lean shed several years ago to give it some dignity and then the roof fell on it. That was a sad picture. Two years ago with a stuck engine and flat tires, we lifted the roof off and used the MM to pull the WC out. I agree with others, we could have bought one running and not spent the money but together dad and I called, searched, traveled, bought, cleaned and assembled the parts for grandpa's WC. Standing next to dad and seeing his face when we started it for the first time in 35 years was priceless. The added value it has given dad and I can't be measured. Have a great time and would like to see your pictures.

Sid, thanks that makes me feel a little better but its the truth we have a 1952 CA its a grill short of being perfect and we need a new project and boy i think we found one. Once again thanks!!! -Tyler
