I have an Allis Chalmers tractor and I don't know the year it was made. The serial number is:

C A 37912

Can anyone help me or direct me to a website address that might tell this.

Stan,

Thank you so much for your reply. I have gone to this link and I copied the information off. It does appear that my friend's tractor would be a 1956, since the starting number is 37203 and the starting number for 1957 is 38618. I had seen this before, but I was looking for the exact number and had not thought about the starting numbers for these years and that my number (37912)would fall between these two. Thank you for pointing this out.

Looks to be a 1956 CA. Click on "Serial Numbers" in the left hand column of this page, then click on "Allis Chalmers", then "CA" and you will find serial number ranges.

Stan, Not sure whether you received a reply to my thank you note. I can't remember if I posted a follow-up to your answer or my query, so I am re-doing it to make sure.

Thankk you again and this did help.
